About this deal
Ashley founded her luxury brand, The Row, in 2006, and co-design Elizabeth and James with Mary Kate.
There is a solid 36 page chunk in the middle of the book that serving serves as a scrapbook for of the twins’ more material influences -childhood images, vintage book covers, LPs, mementos from famous friends. Diane von Furstenberg, John Galliano, Lauren Hutton, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Loboutin or Terry Richardson. but it is disappointing being that most people get this book to read about and look at the twins themselves, not their high society friends. I keep reading that people thought this book made them conceited flying to all these different places and talking to the big names of the fashion and art world. It is incredibly inspiring and definitely a worthwhile read, particularly for someone who is interested in pursuing a creative career.
For a career, I chose a stable 9 to 5 profession (although I currently work 8 to 4), therefore I am always curious about those who have chosen creative career paths.
Read more about the condition Very Good: A book that has been read and does not look new, but is in excellent condition. Mary Kate Olsen, actress, designer and entrepreneur, currently co-designs Elizabeth and James with her sister and business partner, Ashley. The thing is, as much as I went into this book thinking I was going to pen a snarky pan, I am actually instead struck by the fact that I'm learning a lot about how the fashion world operates and who the people are who pull the strings in it. Regardless, my point is these are girls that actually have a clue what they're talking about and they're asking questions that aren't entirely typical because they know how to dance around cliche questions. Unlike other starlets who try to convince the public that they’re “normal, typical girls,” Mary-Kate and Ashley make no such attempt to relate to their audience, for better or for worse.
Moreover, they grew up admiring these people just like us, except they can actually afford them and go out with them.
