Your new friend will grant you a unique ongoing ability, but choose wisely, as you only get one Companion per game! Start set-up by gathering together all of the different cards, separating them, and placing them in separate piles. Once the Hero card is added to your party, you may use an action point to attempt to use its effects once per turn. But it still requires a combination of skill and luck, making it great to play no matter the skill level of your opponents. Players have the ability to play item cards which can either boost their own party or curse other party players giving them a negative effect, on top of this there are also modifier cards which give a positive or negative value to players roll if they had just successfully rolled to defeat a monster this card can be played to tip the odds in your favour and stop them from taking the win! You’ll often find that as soon as one game finishes, you’ll be straight back in for round two to get your own back on those backstabbing friends!

The first person to successfully slay three monsters, or build a full party with six classes, wins the game!

The rest of the cards will need shuffling and placed in the middle of players face down, which also act as the draw pile. The game also includes items you can equip to your heroes, 1V1 challenge cards, and roll modifiers to tip the odds in your favor.
