About this deal

More than 15 images (when there are RAW files with the particular speed)/More than 100 images (when there are no RAW files)/(Depending on memory card type, aspect, picture size and compression) The Panasonic Lumix DC-GX800 allows you to take panoramic images very easily by 'sweeping' with the camera. The camera does all the processing and stitching. In addition many of the Creative Filter effects can also be applied to panorama shots in the Creative Panorama mode. Panorama it also has an AA filter which reduces resolution and a notch of DR/ISO. The shutter is also not as quiet as the Panasonic. The Lumix GX850 is a useful little interchangeable lens Micro4/3 camera. What I didn' t like about this upgraded model is the use of a MicroSD card instead of the regular SD card. Changing cards is so much more difficult especially for not loosing it or dropping it without realising it. The second is the kit lens now comes with a plastic mount instead of metal as was used in the GF8. This is something a lot of buyers are unaware of.

GX880 is really the perfect size - so my wish for '22 is that Panasonic makes the same size with 26mpix resolution, IBIS and the GX9 "sequence composition" (aka in-camera "action sequence"). Recording stops when the continuous recording time exceeds 29 minutes and 59 seconds with [AVCHD] in [FHD/25p] [FHD/24p] and [MP4] in [FHD/30p] [FHD/25p] [HD] Europe.

So the idea is (I guess) to have GX850 serve as a replacement to GM1? It has exactly the same 16MP sensor (GM1 was released in 2013, time seems to have stopped for MFT sensors), is marginally heavier and larger (by a few mm). The only improvement seems to be a slightly more powerful CPU needed to pull off 4K video. Yes, reading forums etc you seem unfortunately to be correct in estimating Panasonic decisions. IBIS and higher mp sensor are both technically possible as even smaller cameras from Sony etc demonstrate this. But still a pity given the range of cost effective and good lenses available for m43 cameras.

When shooting moving subject like kids or pets indoors, the GX850 does not always choose a fast enough mode to freeze the action, even if it senses movement. One way around this is to switch the camera into 'Sport/Action' mode, represented by a tiny running figure on the dial. However this mode still won't always provide a fast enough shutter speed, but should be a better option than any of the other auto settings. The GM series provided camera bodies that looked like toys but performed like real cameras. The GX850 and its earlier GF cousins now add more toy-like features to make sure that they are more likely to be used like toys. So, "No grip" is copying LEICA M. for almost 70 years since first LEICA M. LEICA never changed the design/look, as well as all M have "No grip": The Panasonic Lumix DC-GX800 has an extensive range of creative Filters with 22 different options on offer.
