I would commend this book as an excellent work to alleviate patients' and parents' concerns, and to introduce the condition to those who may be having difficulty seeing any positives in their lives at the time of diagnosis. -- ADHD in Practice This is an absorbing and insightful photo-illustrated read, which takes a really refreshing approach to understanding ADHD. This is an uplifting book for anyone, but especially dog lovers, and those wanting to help children they know with ADHD. -- EYE Early Years Educator The author uses adorably cute photos of dogs to illustrate common traits of ADHD. This book will be a helpful addition to the professional library because it can serve as a tool to help children or adults to understand what it may be like to live with ADHD. -- Jaime Parker, Librarian, Irving Independent School District, Irving, TX Following the style of the award-winning All Cats Have Asperger Syndrome, charming colour photographs of dogs bring to life familiar ADHD characteristics such as being restless and excitable, getting easily distracted, and acting on impulse. If you were to read this kind of book, you will learn about these kinds of distressing behaviours that are affecting people and dogs.

The blurb is easy to misread though, and so I thought it was about ADHD/ADD in anyone, including adults. Unfotunatly for me, it's very much focused on parenting a child with ADHD/ADD. Since children's symptoms are different to adults, this made it less relatable. The introduction stresses that ‘not every child with ADHD has all the traits” the book mentions. Some children with ADHD are active, whereas some of them are not. While some children with ADHD can be outgoing, others may be very shy. If your dog was willing to play this game for 10-15 minutes with a minor lapse of concentration then you probably have a normal high-energy dog. Nowadays, many people look for natural treatment and methods instead of clinical treatment. They may not show instant results like the medicines, but, these methods are effective and the chances of getting allergic reactions while using such natural medicines are slim. Below are some treatments you can consider: Additionally, factors like age, breed, gender, and environment can also result in ADHD. So, what breed of dogs are likely to show signs of ADHD? Dog Breeds Prone To ADHD Behaviour All dogs have ADHD, is quite a thoughtful book. It doesn't have illustrations, which is what I was expecting, but instead is filled with photographs and small quotes about the symptoms of ADHD. Even though the dosage of Ritalin is prescribed by the Vet, you have to take precautions, there are possible side effects and serious issues with using them. Less understandably, it mainly talks about boys. Given ADHD/ADD in girls is underdiagnosed, this weakens the point of the book, as it minimises girls who suffer from ADHD/ADD.The characteristics of dogs are the different textures of fur, curly or straight tails, floppy or upright ears or spots or no spots. This is a book which would possibly be useful in a SEAL setting. It can be used to elicit responses from children and develop understanding of certain symptoms found in those with ADHD. Furthermore, it could help to promote inclusion through greater understanding, rather than have other excluded through misunderstanding. These kinds of animals may have personalities that are similar to humans.

I'm not sure about it. I heard that it was endearing and cute, yet surprisingly informative? And it was not informative in the slightest. However, it is achildren's book about acceptance and being seen, and for that it is a sweet book I guess? I feel like it didn't really do it's intended job... which was to use dogs as a metaphor to describe ADHD symptoms and coping tools so that little kids could understand. I do love doggo pictures???
