They are idol worshippers who believe in a god called Zum or Nu. The Koma people are mostly farmers and hunters. The tribe was, for the first time, permitted to make decisions about the use of their ancestral land. Some models like to be controversial. It keeps them relevant and all the publicity usually helps propel their careers forward. Centuries later, almost everyone on earth is civilized and has adopted the use of various means of covering nakedness. In addition to their practices, Kambari people use animals such as Donkeys as their means of transportation. They also only speak their native language.

The Nyae Nyae people of Namibia became the first conservancy in Namibia in 1998. This was a law for a new resource management structure that allowed communities to manage and benefit from wildlife and tourism.Marisa Papen, for example, is no stranger to controversy. After doing a naked photoshoot in ancient Egyptian temples, she claims she was sent to jail. They are strict idol worshippers who practice the culture of being unclad. The only piece of covering one may find on them is a wrapper which they use to cover a part of their bodies. The people of this tribe have disassociated themselves from anything that has to do with Western civilization and government.

These naked tribes are not peculiar to a particular region or country, however, those in Africa have over time, been a course to study.

Both Surma men and woman pierce their ears, some woman stretch their lower lip with a plate. They scar their bodies by making little cuts repetitively. The Kambari people of Nigeria don’t see nudity as a means to seduce men. Contrary to this, they believe that what attracts a man to a woman is her tattoos and the style of her hair.

The worldwide stir didn’t deter the Belgian model, as she’s already returned to her antics, this time posing naked with one of Africa’s most colourful tribes.

Korowai Tribe people do not even wear this Koteka. There are about 3000 of them and they prefer to uphold their ancient cultural practice and move around naked. Body painting is a long historical staple of the Surma tribe; by using pulverised minerals, they create drawings and patterns, something which Marisa tried out on her own body. Travelling with her photographer, who also shot the pictures in the vast temple complex of Karnak near the Egyptian city of Luxor, she stayed in the isolated Omo Valley in south-western Ethiopia, where she lived for a week with the Surma tribe.

This tribe of Nyae Nyae people chose to be naked. They have a traditional dress which is their bare skin. They are proud of their culture and are happy to change the perspective of people which implies that nudity is a form of uncivilization. This tribe of naked walking people was discovered in 1986 by a member of the National Youth Service Corps. This Corps member was posted to go serve at the then Gongola (now known as Yola) area of Northern Nigeria.Living their lives as they wish in the hills, they are almost alien to whatever form of civilization the world has adapted. Clothing to the Koma people is only for ceremonious activities. They are inhabitants of the mountains in the Gashaka Local Government Area of Taraba state and are descendants of the famous Kwararafa Kingdom. The Koma people practice the act of circumcision on both boys and girls once they are between the ages 14 to 17.
