There’s enough variety in the mission locations and gameplay to keep you interested, and we enjoyed the fact you could collect evidence in the essential missions to complete optional puzzles that further contextualize the clandestine narrative. It was enough to make us break out a notepad, which is always a treat in a modern AAA game, where puzzles are usually liquidated.

As with any Call of Duty game, the standard suite of 6v6 multiplayer modes is here. There's not much to say about the modes themselves that hasn't been said before; they're the bread and butter of the multiplayer CoD experience, and most of them work well. Enlisting the help of one of their KGB double agent allies, Dimitri Belikov, they manage to get Adler and Bell inside the Lubyanka Building. The team learns that an Operation Greenlight scientist is one of the sleeper agents and has fled to Cuba. Hoping to catch Perseus there, the team launches a raid. They learn that Perseus has managed to steal the detonation codes for every Operation Greenlight bomb, meaning he can devastate Europe and lay the blame on the United States. The team comes under heavy fire and Lazar and Park are injured in the process, leaving Bell only enough time to save one of them. Ronald Reagan acting as the bastion of moral superiority is a comedic touch, reinforcing the conservative lense this franchise has viewed global politics through for years.
