About this deal

Over the past few years we’ve collected many fishing books that are well suited for toddlers and preschoolers, and even one or two that are better suited for older children. I thought I’d take a couple of minutes and go through a few of them to let you know my thoughts and impressions of each in case you’re trying to decide which one to buy. I also want to bring some attention to the authors ( one was even written by an eight-year-old!) in the hopes that they’ll keep on writing books in this genre! There are many different types of children’s books about fish. These include encyclopedias, care manuals, and picture books. H Is For Hook: A Fishing Alphabet” by Judy Young – A complete alphabetical fishing book, this book covers topics such as types of lures, where to fish, and what equipment you will need, along with the basics of cleaning, filleting, and cooking your final catch. Kids of all ages will enjoy learning all these fishy facts! 24. “1 2 3 Ice Fishing” Swim! Swim!is a book my girls choose from our bookshelf at least once a week. In the story Lerch is looking for a friend, and along the way he’s quite sad as he gets no response from the nonliving things in the aquarium he shares. His responses are Itis fantastic for practicing and modeling voice.

The book has been written by aquarium professionals and a team of marine enthusiasts, so you will be getting detailed knowledge of marine fish species. It goes into detail on the minimum aquarium sizes for each fish, their dietary requirements, and reef aquarium compatibility. All 29 major marine fish families are included in the book, such as angelfish, cardinal fish, triggerfish, wrasses, and surgeon fish. Before purchasing a fish book, you should first consider these two factors: the type and illustrations in the book. Type

Author Tommy Greenwald tells a story of a small boy Joe who loved to go fishing. But his dad did not! All the things that Joe loved about fishing were the exact reasons his dad detested the hobby. Joe loved watching the calm water, the peaceful sky, and dreaming about catching his big one while waiting for any fish to be caught! On the other hand, Joe’s dad considered this hobby a waste of time. He did not like the long wait which normally ended in not catching any fish. And if that was not enough, his dad did not like dealing with the worms or any process or gear involved in fishing. There are around 33,000 different species of fish around the world found in various habitats and diverse ecosystems. Each continent has there own native species of fish. Each fish has their own classification and characteristics that make them unique. Best for Fishing: Let’s Go Fishing: A Book for All Young Anglers by Joshua Mutters (Author) and Gabby Correia (Illustrator) Three Little Bass and the Big Bad Gar” by James R. Miller – A twist on the classic tale “Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf”. This adorable book is written by an 8 year old and illustrated by his mother. 9. “We Love Fishing” In this book your kids will learn about how aquatic life thinks, what they know, and what their experiences are like. With over 33,000 fish species throughout the globe, there is plenty to explore. There is still so much left to discover about fish. Thematic chapters make up the segments of this book. Your young reader will get to explore dangerous and deadly fish, some unusual giants, and mini marvels.

The best non-fiction book on the list is Freaky, Funky Fish: Odd Facts About Fascinating Fish by Debra K Shumaker (Author) and Claire Powell (Illustrator). Angie Menjivar is a writer at A-Z-Animals primarily covering pets, wildlife, and the human spirit. She has 14 years of experience, holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology, and continues her studies into human behavior, working as a copywriter in the mental health space. She resides in North Carolina, where she's fallen in love with thunderstorms and uses them as an excuse to get extra cuddles from her three cats. Top 10 Children’s Books about Fishing

I enjoyed how this book teaches kids all the things they need to go fishing. They’ll learn some techniques, and most importantly how to help clean up for the day after they’re done fishing! That alone makes it worth the price! It takes a lot of guts to write for other people and publish something. This young man (and his mom) should both be proud of themselves. I’d recommend buying their book and telling your kids exactly who wrote it. Talk about how he had a dream of publishing a story, pursued it and made it a reality.
