Serve at 18-20ºC. This wine spirit can be consumed immediately after bottling or be stored and age for many years. Its recipe remains as original and secret as it was in 1885. Macieira's success was instantaneous, its quality and reputation gained true appreciators It has a golden brown colour, marked with green and orange hues. The aspect is clear and bright. On the nose a delicately complex and typical characteristic of the wines that are distilled. The use of vinho abafado gives a subtle notes of anise and coriander. On the palate it is smooth, rich and well structured, with subtle tannins. The different flavours, vanilla, apricot, peach and honey are perfectly married with the discreet presence of chestnut sop. After its launch in 1885, Macieira continues to be the market leader in Portugal and exported to more than 30 countries on 5 continents.
