About this deal

We believe that for its sale price and for what it is built, the second possibility would be necessary. Connectivity MSI MAG251rx--->"faster" gives lilttle to no overshoot from 44hz-240hz. u want 3ms response time playing halo 7 on the xbox series x at 60-120hz? no problem. 2.4-2.6 input lag? on ps5? no problem. The tuning is PERFECT Finally, we have performed profiling and calibration of the MSI Optix MAG251RX to see if we improve those results in the color spaces. These are the new values.

This also isn’t among the largest displays out there. At only 24.5 inches, you need to be relatively close for this to be immersive, which means having spectators isn’t always an option. However, if you have a smaller desk space, it’s certainly a good size – its thin bezels give an extra bit of screen real estate as well. Again we must stress that they are good results for a gaming monitor since this concerns more designers. It’s a good way to see the technical quality of the panel. Based on a 24.5-inch 8-bit+FRC IPS panel, the MSI MAG251RX features a 1920×1080 resolution, 400 nits brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 178°/178° viewing angles, a 1 ms response time, and a maximum refresh rate of 240 Hz. The monitor supports VESA’s Adaptive-Sync variable refresh rate technology and is NVIDIA G-Sync-compatible certified. And is that this IPS panel delivers a refresh rate of 240 Hz with a response of 1 ms GTG to offer the user the maximum possible performance without image artifacts such as ghosting or tearing. The MSI MAG251RX is based on an IPS (AHVA) panel by AU Optronics with 178° wide viewing angles, a 400-nit peak brightness, a 1,000:1 static contrast ratio, ~100% sRGB color gamut, 1080p resolution, and 10-bit color depth support. So I recently got the Mag251rx but I felt like it seemed to have a brown-ish/yellow-ish tint to it especially noticeable on white images. Coming from a previous monitor with superb colors it felt out of place in my setup. Moving on to verify the coverage in the two main spaces, we have a relative value of 96% and an absolute value of almost 113%, thus exceeding the records set out in the specifications. It is certainly a worthy exponent for e-sports in this regard, so let’s see if it also delivers on image and color quality. Contrast and Brightness i killed TWO birds with ONE stone that day. Actually 3 birds (less input lag, less blurry screen, and 12 bit color depth) I also tested it on the UFO test, and found zero to very minimal blurring, ghosting or any other artifacts. If there were any, they would have been hardly perceptible to the human eye… or at least, this human eye.

What's your opinion about using 270HZ instead of 280Hz? Maybe it will be best compromise with 80 OD (better response time which I believe should be top1 to focus in competive fps games). Either way, the actual response time of the MSI MAG251RX is fast enough to remove most trailing behind fast-moving objects. This time it does not have a curved design, and it would not make much sense for its size since it is better in the 27 ”. In any case, it will be a very valid option also for multi-screen or simulators in which the user wants an extra fluidity. The pixel pitch shows the distance from the centers of two neighboring pixels. In displays, which have a native resolution (the TFT ones, for example), the pixel pitch depends on the resolution and the size of the screen. We moved to the more demanding DCI-P3 space, giving us a relative coverage of almost 79% and absolute coverage of 80%, this time remaining below that specified by MSI.Approximate height of the display. If the manufacturer does not provide such information, the height is calculated from the diagonal and the aspect ratio. Lastly, the upper edge features a grille for ventilation of the internal hardware, although this time, we do not have the integrated power supply. Fair ergonomics for its size

TBH, colors are hard to really test because each individual monitors have so much color settings to play around with. U might have test it without optimal tweaking. It's difficult to tell the difference but i compared it to my 2nd main(viewsonic xg270) side by side and the and the asus was noticeably faster at 280hz vs 240hz. The only way you will notice is by simply comparing them side by side. The three USB Type A ports, separated on the left side, are extremely handy here as you can connect your other peripherals and devices to the monitor. This way, you can keep the same peripherals whenever you’re switching computers. I play FPS titles and as you said the MSI actually is better for games bellow 200 fps, so why you still suggest Asus in that case? for a point of reference, this is how far i had sit to avoid pixelation and the UGLY grainy look at Visual acuity(my 15 yr old 27 inch 720p HDTV had wayy better image quality than the Asus. The next degree of freedom is given directly by the support mechanism, which allows us to adjust its vertical orientation. In games, there is no doubt that it is a beast, and in this case, the size will not be a deciding factor when going to the taste of each user. and guess what i found out when i was tinkering with all that? that the MSI MAG251rx is 10bit+FRC(12 bit color depth) under HDMI connection @120hz According to the image, we have a Mystic Light LED lighting area in the left area, specifically in the darkest diagonal line. For connectivity, the MSI MAG251RX uses one DisplayPort 1.2a input, two HDMI 2.0 port, and one USB Type-C port. In addition, the monitor has a triple-port USB 2.0 hub and a headphone output.
