About this deal

We will be separating the top and bottom sections of the bus in this one, and to do this we will use some straight lines that are close to one another. In this third step of our guide on how to draw a bus, we will be adding some wheels and windows to your bus.

With the windows of this drawing of a bus, we colored them solid blue. If you wanted to, you could make it look like people are sitting in the bus. As for the wheels, these will be drawn as some rounded shapes with round portions within. With these final elements done, we will finish off this bus with some fun facial details! You could do this by removing the color in the windows and then draw some faces. It might be fun to model the faces after you and your friends for one idea! What this expression would look like would depend entirely on your own preferences. This bus is looking happy, but you could go for any other kind of expression you would like to create. Although there is some debate about where the song truly originates from, the American, Verna Hills, is often credited with publishing the song in 1939. However, as a folk song, the true author of the song can never be fully known.

This is another step where following the reference image provided closely will be a big help! First, we will draw a sharply curved line that will look a bit like an upside-down L near the top of the bus. These windows will line along the upper edges of the bus for now, and each one will be a slightly rounded rectangle shape. For the smaller hole you made on the left, you can draw a rounded shape from it for the wheel that you’ll be drawing later on. The colors can also make the bus look like it’s something more specific. For example, you could use some bright yellows to make it look like a school bus. You can also erase a small section to the right of the bottom line, and then erase a bigger section to the right.

That brings us to the end of our step-by-step guide on how to draw a bus! We hope that this guide was very helpful and easy for you to use, and we also hope that it was lots of fun! For a bus that has more vibrant colors, you could use some mediums such as acrylic paint or colored pens for colors that pop. Another fun touch would be to base each character on someone you know to make it more personalized! Do you think you would like to add a face in every window of this bus? If you feel like your children could benefit from learning more about buses as well as other means of travel, you might want to take a look at this Travelling Safely PowerPoint. This fully illustrated presentation is especially handy when it comes to teaching children about the safest ways to travel on both buses and cars.

We have another simple step for you in this part of your bus drawing! All you need to do for this step is add a line halfway down the door of the bus. Then, using your eraser you can take out the corners of the rectangle and then redraw them as rounded edges. By the end of the guide you’re about to do you’ll be able to draw your own awesome buses with ease! There are also some simple details you could add to the picture that would make a huge difference. For instance, you could draw smoke coming from the exhaust. This will then lead to a squared section that will look like it is extending inside of the bus interior.

How to Draw A Bus – Let’s Get Started!

On the front edge of the bus, there will then be some more rectangle shapes of varying sizes beneath the two windows at the top of this section. These are the details that we would add, but you should feel free to add any extra details that you would like! Maybe you could draw a logo on the side of the bus or draw a face in each window. Once those are drawn, you can then use your pen to go over the pencil lines once you’re happy with how it all looks. A bus is a vehicle that can serve many different purposes in society! From taking kids to school to carrying people to work, they can take people to wherever they need to go!
