The prologue completely sucked me in and I ended up staying up past midnight to finish this book in one sitting!

There was so much push and pull, these two characters had to go through hell and back to really make sense of their relationship and everything that has unfolded before them.I may have mostly given up on watching this show the advent of season 9, but I still want to know every insane happening.

then she finds out that his best friend and his boss are the reason she was "imprisoned" and that he'd actually been looking for her for the past 15 months, not ditching her as she'd thought. he is protective and loyal, and he would go to any length to defend his family 🥺💞 Ria, on the other hand, i really did love her character a lot and sympathized with her but she did annoy me just a little, but she'd gone through a lot and her emotions were understandable. I was always on the edge of my seat, wanting to know what would happen next and how Noah and Ria would emerge from it to find their HEA. The surprises around every corner kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting to find out what was going to happen.They are both standalones (you should still def check out her debut novel because 5 stars as well just saying. Noah is determined to make things right, to figure out who is putting Ria in danger, and to reunite their family for good. In this book- Ria was (understandably) severely distressed the entire time - and I really want to know her when she’s in a peaceful state also. Quiet/background tech guy + popular actress girl is a good formula to have in my back pocket; I'm sure I will see that dynamic in a TV show or movie at some point and want a book version eventually.because now that he’s found her, he’s not letting go, and Noah will do anything to protect what’s his. I usually avoid suspense and anything scary at all costs, but when I saw Kaye was writing this book, I knew I had to give it a chance since I absolutely adored Glad You Exist. Abusive relationships in YA rarely move me, because the girls always choose such trash boys it makes zero sense to me why they'd like him even if he weren't abusive, but this one looks a bit more relatable, maybe along the Blake Jenner line of abuse.
