I'd like to think that if I had visited London as a child, I would have read this book beforehand to get myself hyped up! This is a reread - i read this to my daughter many times, then to her class and two other classes when talking about London and all things British. This would be a lovely way to introduce any child to London, perhaps as a way to calm nerves before a first trip or as a way to reminisce after visiting. I am so looking forward to reading this book with my reception class at the end of the day and I look forward to hearing their thoughts.Love the artwork in the book and the story is beautiful a must for any child English or learning English also great for adults to I enjoyed the story. Slightly older readers might enjoy Me, the Queen and Christopher by Giles Andreae and Tony Ross There are also lots of other adventures involving Katie.

It talked about a child visiting London’s landmarks and was a good summary portrayed in a captivating way for kids. Children's books set in London are always popular and this is a particularly charming story of a girl having an adventure riding one of the Trafalgar Square lions.
