And you almost forget that Keith Urban started this whole Graffiti U album release cycle off by cutting and releasing the incredibly demeaning and opportunistic single “Female. If you listen to him talk about the evolution of the record you’ll see that this was a pure artistic reflection of where he is at right now, based off of his current musical influences. In New York City, there is The Avenue of the Americas, with an “s” at the end of the word, saying and proving (do United Statiens REALLY need any proof of this?

I don’t have any of that stuff anywhere because I like it to be as blank a canvas as it was the very first time I made a record. That certainly has happened with records from people like Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Tim McGraw, and others we may have thought were done, but proved us wrong.The ‘U’ isn’t about University or targeting people that age – its for the fans ‘YOU’ was originally the title (Graffiti You) but he shortened it to ‘Graffiti U’ to symbolise his surname and his fans. KU is no more country than an artist like Childish Gambino or Harry Styles or other hugely popular pop artists and should be promoting his stuff in a pop world accordingly …. The artists in Keith Urban’s age group are getting back to the roots and having radio success with it. I don’t begrudge Urban his money, b/c the record will sell…nor do I begrudge his fans for listening to it if they enjoy it.

As many have said, Texas Time does seem to pay homage to Don Williams Tulsa Time - same "flavour" with a modern twist. It is sad that some “country music fans” have gotten used to bad music so much that they can’t tell when the music is very sub-par.
