About this deal

Compatibility with your vehicle: Make sure the towing mirrors you choose are designed to fit your specific make and model of vehicle. Although there’s no law requiring the specific use of extension mirrors when towing, you must be able to see four metres out from the caravan, 20 metres behind the driver. Our Clearview Towing Mirror base mounts onto these same holes, but due to their varying positions on individual vehicles, our mounting holes are elongated to allow for the variance. A quality replacement wing mirror complete with arm, ideal for replacing broken and damaged mirrors.

What is common to the standard is it specifies a field view from a straight line parallel behind the caravan, or in other words you must be able to see down the side of the caravan. Effectively both standards specifying the field of view are very similar and just describe it in different ways. Please check or contact us for help or further information if you are unsure of the compatibility with your vehicle.

Aero Mirrors fit 99% of cars, 4 x 4's and vans produced since 1980, with a very small number of vehicles requiring specific model mirror pads. The unique and new clamping system (patented plus international patents pending) now on the Aero 4 Mirror is further improved to have much greater grip and improved fitment. I'd guess that an extended arm is for use when towing a caravan or large trailer of some sort and 'cos they're limited speed they maybe aren't as tight as a normal one . This mirror also complies with the very latest pedestrian safety laws and is engineered to minimise injury in the event of an accident.

One pair that our reviewer, Nigel Hutson rated highly was the Milenco Grand Aero Platinum towing mirrors, a pair that proved to be stable and provided minimum vibration when put to the test.On the face of it, this seems like a good thing, but the downside is that another vehicle could actually be closer to you than it appears. To be legal, they must enable you to see 4 metres wide of the towed vehicle to at least 20 metres behind you. These are very high quality mirror's made with the best material available and will give years of reliable service. We do see a lot of cars towing with mirrors, that are set too close to the vehicle body when in fact to be compliant with the law, the mirror head should be set out far enough to see fully down the side of the caravan.
