A rich, dark, Irish blend, Black Bush contains a high proportion of triple-distilled single malt, aged in Oloroso sherry casks for around 8-10 years before marriage with the grain. Even back in 2016, I felt there was a tannic bitterness making a powerful and unwelcome presence felt in Black Bush and sadly it’s still there and very much to its detriment.
