This story introduces the audience to a new character named Meg who turns out to be the granddaughter of Kim, the character from the film portrayed by Winona Ryder. One day, Megan goes into storage and finds a box of her grandmothers things, among them, her grandmothers diary.

Meanwhile, Edward has been living in the castle alone for endless years as he is no longer welcome in the city due to event that took place in the film. The second plot within 'Final Cut' revolves around Edward’s identity and the prospect of a doctor being able to change his life by giving him the hands he never received from the inventor.Leth and Rausch are both huge fans of Tim Burton’s work, and loved the movie, so it’s great to know that this comic has come from talented fans that know and care about the character and his world really well. In this graphic novel Kim is dead and her granddaughter Meg wants to find out about the whole "murder" thing. The elderly woman, revealed to be Kim, finishes telling her granddaughter the story and says that she never saw Edward again, hoping that by doing so Edward would remember her as she was in her youth.

Alongside the brilliant artwork of Drew Rausch (Eldritch, Haunted Mansion and My Blacks Don’t Match! I enjoyed the characters and I am definitely looking forward to learning more about them in the next volume. The artwork resembles (at least for me) that of the American animation series that I used to watch as a kid. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!Meanwhile, Edward flees in a rage, destroying his works and scaring Esmeralda until he is calmed by a wandering dog. Depp was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy, but lost to Gérard Depardieu of Green Card.
