About this deal

When the glow plug light is flashing it is indicating that there is a fault with the engine management system.

Fast forward to this morning and I am driving to work; about half a mile from my house in 6th gear, going up a slight gradient hill at 30 mph and the engine all of a sudden starts to rev high. My mechanic said as it hasn't been playing up and it's happened on 2 occasions, just live with it until it gets worse but since leaving there it's got progressively worse and worse showing new symptoms. problem is i cant leave the car with flashing hazards as the battery will go flat, and if itry to disconnect the battery the alarm sound due to the backup battery. In trying to create a great purchasing experience, Ping would like us to discuss your requirements with you prior to you making your purchase. I plan on replacing all the bulbs next time I am home and give everything 'electrical' a good going over.

I had the exact same problem on my old Mk5 DSG, the gear selector unit can only be removed from underneath - so you have to remove the exhaust to get at the bolts - also you have to remove the gear knob itself and surrounding trim. In the archive section below I have how-tos that link to threads I have done on the repairing of the flaky water/fuel gauges. I came off at the next junction (which fortunately was the one I needed anyway) and found that there was no power/turbo at all during my final five minutes to work. Green Splatter is a daily blog for disc golf fans who follow the professional game, but would rather be outside playing it than inside spending hours reading about it. Once you get the car going, do the same test with the car running to make sure your alternator is putting out enough voltage to charge.

JustAnswer is not intended or designed for EMERGENCY questions which should be directed immediately by telephone or in-person to qualified professionals. He looked at the shockers, stated that yes the rear was 'weeping' but only just, so it'll be cool for a couple of weeks till I get paid ! I also pulled the plug off and bridged the two terminals to see if it stopped the flashing - it didn't. Come join the discussion about performance, modifications, troubleshooting, TDI, maintenance, and more! My car has a Malone stage II tune with no DPF, EGR, or ASV installed so the computer can't be throwing any codes for that.On impact, these golf balls flash brightly for five minutes so you are able to find them easily in low light or when light conditions fade. Without any code thrown it is tougher to diagnose, as that light can be used for several different faults. With modern fuel, technology and a reasonably looked after vehicle, they are not supposed to need maintenance.

Those who have encountered this issue are being encouraged to come forward and report their experience on the forums. To confirm its the battery you can take a multi meter to the battery posts and see what the output is without the car on.Since you really can't short the sender out to test it, there is IIRC about 180 ohms of resistance in the tips when they are in coolant. tdi, there must be a coolant sensor on my car as GP light doesnt come on when engine is hot, any ideas were it might be located. I thought that diagnosis only applied to older TDIs but at this point I've got nothing to lose by checking. just back from a short journey, on leaving the glow plug warning light started flashing on the dash.
