Needless to say, when the going gets tough, the tough start shooting and the action in this is pretty solid and the mangaka’s got a real eye for it.

This series could’ve evolved into something bigger, as it had an interesting post-apocalyptic setting, two likable main characters, and an interesting cast of antagonists, but I guess we’ll never know.

Gordon, a food truck owner, is trying to exist in a post apocalyptic world when he stumbles upon a naked woman named Arisa in the desert. It was alright enough to warrant taking a peek at the second volume but I have a feeling that will only solidify my stance on this one. Aside from the ending being rushed and the somewhat-tarnished dynamic between the two main characters, the only other complaint that I have was the excessive amount of fanservice, almost every chapter had Gordon working on something only for him to turn around to see Arisa wearing nothing, followed by Gordon telling her to put something on. I think a lot of folks who wring their hands about The State Of Pokémon™ would be better off just realizing that they outgrew Pokémon and stop making that GAME FREAK's fault.

Fasten your seat belts for post apocalyptic cooking and violent mayhem on this crazy food truck road trip! Don't get me wrong, simply driving around and enjoying tasty meals, and the occasional hot spring seems extremely fulfilling. When it comes to characters, we have Gordon, a runaway from the army in his 40s who's quite a man-of-action I'd say. They don’t have much in common (other than the fact they both know how to fight and have mysterious backgrounds), but they have a dynamic that works. Oh she is always naked and or topless and you can see nipples, I must be getting old because that actually one of the least interesting things in the comic and not crazy if you read manga or watch anime.For the food, however, we start getting absolutely ludicrous nonsense like squid that live in sand and pufferfish-style cows. Artificial Human: Arisa and Myna are both part of the "Doll" program, clones made from Colonel Sarah's cells. I was definitely eager to dig in and now I need more of this series because this one was way too fun!

The reason I docked this book half a star is because if the author wanted to turn Arisa into fanservice and have her run around topless or naked most of the time, he should have made her an adult. Of, and the chef, a Man With a History, finds a laboratory manufactured woman in the middle of the desert and together they do crazy stuff.

Relationship Upgrade: In the final chapter, Gordon and Arisa kiss and have sex for the first time in the food truck, right before the military catches up to them.

And let's see, to "respect" her in some sense, he gives her a kind of superpower, when he remains just this crazy food truck owner. Also, the short length makes it interesting too, since the plot moves quite nicely and that's always a bonus.

After successfully rescuing Arisa from the Principality of Towata, it's time for her and Gordon to get back on the road. Doesn't help that the military seems to be after Gordon and the random, constantly hungry girl he picked up in the desert.
