About this deal

To make the chocolate ganache, add the chocolate chips to a medium sized bowl (see my tips on making chocolate ganache).

If you wanted to use a ganache however you can, simply use 150g of Dark Chocolate and 150g of Double Cream! Sugar, wheat flour (calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamin), whole dried egg, raising agents: E450, E500, concentrated whey protein ( milk), modified starch, emulsifiers, E471, E475, E481, cellulose fibre, skimmed milk powder, stabiliser E414, colour E160a, whey powder( milk), salt, cocoa powder. Choose from our delectable egg free sponge cakes which are layered with luxury mixed fruit / chocolate spread and freshly whipped cream filling. If we put the chocolate on top but leave the buttercream swirls and oreos until Tuesday will it keep ok on the counter? It is then frosted with more Oreo buttercream, drizzled with a rich chocolate ganache, and decorated with buttercream swirls and whole Oreos. The eggs in the cake batter as well as the butter in the buttercream should be at room temperature before beginning. The only other difference was that I used the ganache later the same day instead of leaving it overnight and nuking it a bit in the morning to thin it out. This frosting is not too sweet (unlike the American buttercream) and is super silky, making it so easy to work with. The Oreo Dripping Cake is the ideal choice if you're seeking for a sumptuous treat that will satisfy your cravings and delight your taste senses.

Divide batter equally among the three cake pans (about 16 ounces of batter in each 8-inch pan or 12 ounces in each 6-inch pan).

Make sure the cake is cold/partially frozen (place it in the freezer for a good 10-30 minutes) and the ganache is not too hot, otherwise your buttercream will melt. If this is important to you, please verify with your favorite nutrition calculator and/or metric conversion tool. Once the cakes are cooled, put the first layer on the serving plate spread some of the buttercream onto the top of the first layer, add the second cake on top, and then top again with some of buttercream and then add the final sponge layer. One of my Dad’s work colleagues had their last day recently, and I wanted to bake something special as they have been one of my taste testers, and she’s so lovely… so I went for a Drip Cake. Using an electric mixer (hand or stand mixer are both fine – see note 2 on recipe card below ), cream together for 2 minutes until light and creamy.

Feel free to reduce the overall amount of buttercream if you plan on decorating your cake differently.Content on this site is not intended to substitute for advice given by medical practitioner, pharmacist, or other licensed health-care professional.

With the mixer on low speed, gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth, about 30 seconds. My partner really loves caramel and Oreos and I wanted to make it really special but I’m worried it will get too sweet. Allow the ganache to firm up a bit, then pipe the remainder of the frosting around the top edge of the cake (see my tips on making a chocolate drip cake) and add an Oreo between each swirl. Remove cakes from oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then remove to cooling racks to cool completely.com, CNN Entertainment, Parenting Magazine, Celebrate Magazine, All You Magazine, Elle Decor and MarthaStewart.
