About this deal

The unit also comes with a remote controller. It is not necessary to control the SMSL C200, as you can do it using just the volume knob, but it does make things easier and more convenient. It’s made of plastic and it has the following buttons: power, up, down, left, right, enter, input, FN (used to switch outputs and, when long pressed, to set the screen to automatically switch off), mute, raise and reduce volume. Features & Specs

Mid-range is crystal clean with spacious allocation and excellent articulation, smooth enough but not warm. This tiny thing has a remote supplied! SMSL actually gives a remote with a C200…Will you use it? The volume knob can do all the stuff the remote can but, of course, takes a little learning to master. If you’re on a long lead with the display switched off then, for sure, it will have some benefits. I suppose my usage was more about discovery than it will be for those who live with this as their constant companion.Built-in discrete component linear power supply and multiple low-noise power supplies for analog circuits; According to FiiO, when adjusting the volume of the K7, the built-in MCU detects the rotation of the knob and puts it through a series of processes. Rotating the knob-> MCU sensing and anti-shake processing-> converting it to a value-> sending volume adjustment instructions to the electronic volume chip-> changing the volume. Although this process works very fast, it causes a small delay due to the MCU implemented in this device as it needs to add error correction measures to get a stable processing outcome every time. Any item returned must be complete with all accessories, hardware, manuals, or instructions, and in the same "new" condition as when it was when shipped to you. Please send us photos or videos of it. Covering every genre, from high-end DAC, to power amplifiers and dedicated headphone amplifiers, the brand is best known for its excellent quality/price ratio. Some, like the SMSL AD18 , or SH-8S are now all-time classics and can be found on many chi-fi enthusiast desks. Mine, for example, hosts the brilliant DO200 + HO200 combo, a superb DAC + headphone/amp duo that earned my personal recommendation as one of the best combos you could get in this price range, and above.

SMSL C200 has a variety of supported digital inputs including USB, Coaxial, Optical, and Bluetooth. With the help of the latest-generation Bluetooth chipset, the C200 provides a smooth, lag-free Bluetooth input that users can use to feed signal directly through their smartphones. Built-In Low Noise Power Supply:- Damage due to user negligence, accidents, disassembly, waterlog, misuse, abuse, alterations or vandalism. Any item returned incomplete or with physical damage such as scratches etc., excessive signs of use, or abuse will not be accepted for return.

Sound

It is also worth mentioning that SMSL took care of ensuring the C100 is powered properly. Since the USB port combines the function of power and data entry, coupled inside is a high-performance power filtering system so listeners can relax knowing their audio is not touched by unwanted noise. The C200 is quite musical and engaging but you shouldn’t be expecting an organic and analog like sound signature with a very colorful tone palette. All testing was done with an SMSL HO100 and Earmen ST-Amp amplifier, combined with a Sennheiser HD560s and a HarmonicDyne Athena for headphone choices. Summary Digital glare does exist but it doesn't get annoyingly intrusive and it doesn't add a metallic timbre to the sound. Additionally to the digital inputs (USB, coaxial and optical) the unit also supports wireless Bluetooth 5.0 reception with the high resolution aptX HD and LDAC codecs.

As you can legitimately expect, the SMSL C200 has a perfectly neutral signature, which means it's indistinguishable from most other solid-state devices out there. I deem this a good thing as it means the device is not going to add its own flavour to your music, staying instead out of the way and letting you concentrate on the music itself (or on the headphones, if you wish to do so). There's a remarkably low noise floor and there's no hiss nor buzz, despite other devices on my desk having it - which appears to be proof of a good job done by SMSL in managing the power. I find transients to be quite fast, which is especially appreciable with fast headphones like the aforementioned HE-560 or the Edition XS. The bass of C200 is neutral, lean and natural in speed. This seems to be the house signature for SMSL, as it reminds me a lot of how AO200 is tuned, both having pretty much the same overall signature. The bass is perfect for those who don’t want a lot of it, but want a natural, and clean bass. It is very much distortion-free, but doesn’t highlight anything either, being the kind of bass, you can totally like after a while but doesn’t surprise on impact. A good overall option for all music styles, except for rap and hip-hop, where you’d want something with a slightly higher amount of bass.At the front face there are the two headphone outputs, a 6.35mm and a 4.4mm one which is just for utility since the headphone amplifier is single ended.
