About this deal

As this book follows new characters, it starts off before the events in the last book and builds up to where it left off. Solid read in "The Horus Heresy", although almost half of the book retells the story of the superior "Galaxy of Flames". Der Tragödie nächster Abschnitt führt uns nun zu den Astartes der Death Guard mit ihrem abtrüngigen Primarch Mortarion. I had hope though since the Death Guard was one of the first legions that piqued my interest, and Mortarion looks so cool.

If you are a fan of the universe or the series, however, read on, because this book fulfils a key part of the story of the Horus heresy. It is still a great read to follow and see what happened aboard the Eisenstein after the events of Isstvan III. But when the fleeing Eisenstein is damaged by enemy fire, it becomes stranded in the warp — the realm of the Dark Powers. The lead character, Garro, picks up the mantle of tortured loyalist hero from Garviel Loken and runs with it. The pre-loved books are carefully cleaned and maintained offering a wide variety of general and specialist titles from children's to adults.Everything was still fresh and exciting and by the time the new stuff came into play I had a greater appreciation of what was going on because of the added info. Can Garro and his men survive the depredations of Chaos and get his warning to the Emperor before Horus' plans reach fruition? In a preliminary battle to take an outer facility held by the rebels the Death Guard and Emperor's Children encounter a Warsinger, one of the rebel leaders who can create sonic force and inspire their followers through their singing. An awesome addition to the Horus Heresy series, Flight of the Eisenstein is a very strong read from veteran Blood Angels author James Swallow.

Something impressive about the series so far has been the ability of different authors to pick up the baton left by others, with events, characters, and themes extending over several books. Those of you who read the first three of the serie will read it just to follow the story line and you won't be disappointed. The death of Garro’s colleague as he clings to a Dreadnought is another moment that is not a major narrative point but places a personal emphasis on the disaster unfolding. In addition to this, Nathaniel Garro is definitely the most Mary Sue marine I've come across outside of Matt Ward's territory, and to be honest he was a bit dull. Having witnessed the terrible massacre on Isstvan III, Death Guard Captain Garro seizes a ship and sets a course for Terra to warn the Emperor of Horus’s treachery.

Swallows dynamic writing in dramatic and action moments is impressive, as is his ability to get really weird and gross with the Nurgle stuff without going too far. In focusing largely on Garro, the narrative really fleshes out the shock to the system instigated by larger events. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
