About this deal

The acting in this one is probably my second favorite in the series. Thom Mathews is an amazing actor that not only kills it as Tommy Jarvis but has fans quoting him from his peformances in the first two Return of the Living Dead films. Feldman brought the character to life when he portrayed him as a child but Mathews is the Jarvis most of us think of. It’s a real shame he was not cast as Jarvis in the previous installment. The supporting cast is just as good with most of the characters more down to earth and serious. I do enjoy the more out there characters but this darker story would have fell apart if those comedic performances were delivered.

FRIDAY THE 13TH UNCUT: English / Dutch / Finnish / French / German / Italian / Norwegian / Portuguese-Brazilian / Spanish-Castilian / Spanish-Latin American / Swedish It’s safe to say that with such a large selection, nearly all of the previous DVD and Blu-ray releases of this series can be retired. Even so, there a couple of items that haven’t been included. The Return to Camp Crystal Lake documentary from the film’s Blu-ray release in the UK is not accounted for, nor are the Crystal Lake Memories and His Name Was Jason documentaries. However, their absence is not felt, and they are still fully available elsewhere (and highly recommended as well). It’s also worth noting that the From Crystal Lake to Manhattan DVD set was originally meant to include the featurette Scary Trailers, which was to feature interviews with the likes of visual effects producer Dan Corey and voice-over artist Don LaFontaine discussing the making of the series’ trailers. Whether it was something that was cut at the last minute or simply not used, it’s a shame that it still hasn’t seen the light of day. Some may be disappointed in the absence of additional cut footage, deleted scenes, TV edits, or workprint footage that has been floating around on the internet for years, but be rest assured: if it could have been included, it would have been. This is an exhaustive and as close to definitive Friday the 13th film collection on Blu-ray as we’re ever going to get. It will take one days, even weeks to get through all of it. New York Has a New Problem: The Making of Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (HD – 18:02) Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday—In the Unrated version, a shot of a “snapped wrist” gore effect is missing. FRIDAY THE 13TH PART VI: JASON LIVES: English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 Surround / French-Parisian, Spanish-Latin American – Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono

Kundrecensioner

I only watched it a few times and remembered some cool moments but outside of that I couldn’t tell you much about it until I rewatched with the others in the Scream Factory blu set. This movie did not hold up well and I can safely say that this is the worst in the entire series. It’s almost painful to watch now.

Finally, this one keeps it up with the death scenes. The kills are not as polished as the previous films but it still satisfies those looking for slasher deaths. The practical effects are solid but we don’t get anything we haven’t seen before. Overall, The New Blood is easily the most laughable entry in the series. It’s still a fun watch but it is easily the most out there entry in the entire series. Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. Ava DuVernay on the Lessons Learned From ‘Origin’: “History Is Dangerous. It Depends on Who’s Got Control of It” Friday the 13th (2009) Electronic Press Kit – interviews with cast and crew, behind-the-Scenes footage Starring – Richard Brooker (Deathstalker, Trapper John M.D.), Gloria Charles (Nation Lampoon’s European Vacation, Brewster’s Millions), and David Katims (Otherworld, The Invisible Kid)Finally, this film has several death scenes that features some top notch practical effects along with make-up effects. Jason looks amazing which would be one of the many factors that contributes to this look being his most iconic. Overall, Jason Lives is another solid entry in the Friday the 13th franchise. It re-established Jason in a different manner than the previous films but still delivers the slasher-esque kills that slasher fans enjoy. With that being said, the look and tone of the previous films is absent which does turn some of the fans off. I recommend it but it’s not among my favorite installments. NEW Freddy vs. Jason Storyboards and Galleries: Production – Behind the Scenes (SD – 33 in all – 2:48) Fresh Cuts: 3D Terror, Legacy of the Mask, Slasher Films: Going for the Jugular, Lost Tales from Camp Blood - Part III The audio commentary, which has finally been carried over from the From Crystal Lake to Manhattan DVD set, is a lively discussion with the cast about their experiences making the film. In Fresh Cuts, the cast and crew talk about the making of the film and how difficult it was. Lost Tales from Camp Blood: Part 3 continues with another slasher short film. The still galleries contain a total of 145 on-set stills, behind-the-scenes photos, press materials, posters, lobby cards, memorabilia, and newspaper clippings. The Fangoria magazine BD-ROM attachment features an interview with Steve Miner about the third film by Bob Martin, and an interview with Doug White about his make-up effects work in the third film by David Everitt.
