This should give no cause for concern - the Powerlock is still one of our most popular tapes regardless of length. Their blades are also highly durable thanks to the patented Tylon™ coating which also ensures the markings remain clearly visible for longer. Today more than ever the design of each tape that comes out of their doors is based around you, the loyal end user. The Stanley 8m tape measure features a Tylon blade coating to give greater durability/wear resistance and reduces glare and reflection for easy reading. Featuring rugged, shock-absorbing rubber design for excellent impact resistance, Tru-Zero hook for precise inner/outer measurements and durable compression lock technology to lock the blade in place. Nowadays, however, Stanley have abandoned the metal case substituting it for a more advanced impact resistant ABS plastic case.
