About this deal

Although contour, bronzer and highlighter are different products, bronzer is pretty adaptable and can also be used to sculpt your face if you prefer to keep a minimalist makeup kit. You can read about our guide to mastering contour here.

Designed to hug the contours of your cheeks, this angled Spectrum Collection brush works for both bronzing and defining, depending on whether you lightly dust and buff or precisely press and blend the product into the skin. It all comes down to choosing the right brush and knowing how to use it. On that note, let’s dive into which brush works best for every type of bronzer. Which type of brush should you use for bronzer? There'll be no spam from us. Just a weekly guide to the best affordable fashion and beauty buys. Sign me up The good news about any Essence product is how affordable it is. This bronzer retails for a mere €3.59. That is super affordable for any bronzer. It comes in two different shades of which this is the lightest one. It is also called: cococa-cool which has me very pleased. Most of the time Essence bronzers are far too orange and dark and this shade instantly looked like something that I might like. What does this bronzer have to offer? A two-in-one solution to bronzing and contouring, this Huda Beauty brush is the perfect option for those not wanting to use too many tools, but who also prefer each one to have a dedicated use.

However, application is key to keeping your bronze looking subtly sun-kissed. More on that to come… How do I choose the right bronzer shade? As you can see this bronzer looks very natural on the face. It does add a nice bronzy glow to my skin but it isn’t too much. In fact this is natural enough that I feel I can keep on applying this without it looking too much on the skin. I am really liking what this looks like on my face. Is this my favorite bronzer ever? I haven’t used it enough yet to make such a bold claim but I am certainly liking it. My final thoughts The right type of brush can totally transform your bronzing experience and should be chosen according to the look you want to achieve. The biggest isn’t always the best when it comes to bronzer brushes. When contouring – especially on the nose – the more precise the shape, the more clean-cut the finish. The best brush size will vary depending on which area you’re wanting to contour, but a mid-sized tapered option is a good starting point for your collection. 6 of the best bronzer brushesThat’s because shorter, more compact bristles allow for more product to be applied in concentrated areas, such as in the cheek hollows, under the jawline and down the nose. For contouring, smaller, more precise brushes are usually your best bet to sculpt your face and define features. If you have warm undertones (the veins on your wrist look green), rich golden shades will compliment you. On the other hand, those with a cooler natural tone (veins look blue) should look for a bronzer with peachy hues.

Most makeup artists recommend opting for a bronzer just one or two shades darker than your skin tone for a natural-looking finish. The Hello, Good Stuff bronzer is a 99% natural formula that is infuse with cocoa powder and should be nourishing. I do think that a nourishing powder is not really a feasible concept but I do like how this is a nearly all natural formula. I like how an affordable brand like this is trying to create products that are better and less infused with chemicals. Then again, this could also just be an attempt to just make the brand look better. So I am always a bit skeptical. What does the shade 010 Cocoa-Cool look like? When Essence brings out a new bronzer I’m all ears. Till this day, Essence has only released one bronzer in their life time of me trying them as a brand. That was a limited edition bronzer of the Lights of Orient collection that was released more than 4 years ago. That has a stunning design though so I never wanted to use it too much. I have been waiting ever since for Essence to release a bronzer that could work for me. They are usually too orange, too dark or too muddy in my experience. So how do I fare with the Essence Hello, Good Stuff bronzer? Review: Essence Hello, Good Stuff Matte & Glow bronzer 010 Cocoa-Cool When it comes to the formula, everything from matte powders to sheer creams can be applied flawlessly with a brush – you just need to find the right one. We all know that a good bronzer can help transform your face: emphasising cheekbones and jawlines, and giving your face a sun-kissed glow without any UV exposure are just a few of the multifaceted bronzer’s talents. As you can see this is a warm toned bronzer that is very fair and not too orange. It has a lovely texture and a neutral shade that is easy to blend onto the skin. I love applying this with a large stipple brush and it looks very natural on the skin. This is a great shade match for my fair skin. I think I have found a bronzer by Essence that works very well for me. How does this bronzer apply? Before & after The Essence Hello, Good Stuff bronzer is a great bronzer for my pale complexion. It has a great texture, it looks natural and is easy to apply. The fact that this is super affordable to boot is only a great plus point. For a cheap bronzer like this one, I think this may definitely be one of the best ones I have ever tried. Would I recommend the Essence Hello, Good Stuff bronzer? The fluffier the brush, the more diffused the product will be, delivering a subtle warmth of colour. The smaller and more compact the brush, the more precise the application, with a more intense pigment payoff.Angled brushes are ideal for emphasising the cheeks, whereas compact travel brushes are a must-have for those who do their makeup on the go.
