About this deal

I would highly recommend Sarah’s face yoga sessions – what a fun way to practice self care and feel and see such benefits, whilst learning so much too! Thank you Sarah!"

On the surface, it is a superficial practice meant to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, give you a youthful glow, and tighten and tone sagging skin. Many people believe that when you look good you feel good and vice a versa, but here is where my issue lies with this book. If you are only using yoga for vanity, then I think it defeats the purpose of what is supposed to be spiritual balancing practice. Anyone who knows anything about the mind body connection will know that our muscles and tissues store our emotions, and when you work those muscles you are able to release them. This is where I felt Danielle Collins missed the mark. I felt she did not go into enough depth about the benefits of Face Yoga. Sure it can make you look better, but what about the deeper metaphysics of it? What types of emotions are we storing in our facial muscles? Why are we storing them in our face? What are the spiritual meaning of wrinkles or acne? What is happening to us on an emotional level when we perform Face Yoga? I created Face Yoga Club for those who want to stay motivated and accountable, by running regular online group sessions that are live and interactive, via zoom. So where did it all start? Well I was born and brought up in Plymouth and moved to Bath to study Education and English Literature at Bath Spa University and achieved a first class honours. After this at age 21 I was diagnosed with M.E and was very ill for 18 months. Despite doctors telling me there was no known cure for this illness I was determined to get better and started introducing natural nutrition, relaxation, exercise, Yoga and Pilates in to my life. I then fully recovered and felt an overwhelming desire to help and inspire others to feel healthier and happier in the same way I had been able to help myself, so I completed Diplomas in Face Massage, Professional Relaxation Therapy, Nutrition, Hatha Yoga and Pre and Post Natal Yoga with the British School of Yoga. I also did introductory training in Thai Yoga Massage, Shiatsu, Indian Head Massage, the Alexander Technique, EFT and Meditation. I am a fully qualified Reiki practitioner and have completed my Reiki level 1 and Reiki level 2 training. The raters found that upper cheek and lower cheek fullness were most significantly enhanced, and overall participants appeared to be about three years younger after completing the 20-week face yoga program. How long does face yoga take to work? For example, what is Face Yoga and how it works, the science behind wrinkles and facial muscles, how to integrate breath and the body in your Practice, the do’s and don’ts, and the expected benefits of a Face Yoga Practice. Smile 50 times without wrinkling your eyes, then hold a soft smile for 50 seconds straight. 7. Massage + Face Savasana Clean your hands and face with a gentle cleanser, then massage your face all over (you may want to use coconut oil to make this easier). Gently press your fingertips into your facial muscles to relieve any strain. Make sure to pay attention to your “third eye” (the space between your brows), massaging for 30 minutes and circling around your eyes. (You may want to try using your fits around your forehead and eyes too.) It’s not a secret that decluttering your physical space plays a huge role in the way you feel. We have Marie Kondo to thank for that. But when it comes to your Face Yoga Practice, there’s also a way to simplify, because, sometimes it’s the simplicity that gives us the most momentum. Face yoga” describes facial exercises that are performed to tone and stretch the muscles in the face, usually in an attempt to fight off signs of aging. As the classes are only 20 minutes long, they are the perfect length to fit into your busy lifestyle and before you know it, your practice is done!

After a couple of years of teaching Yoga, clients were enjoying the health benefits of Yoga for their bodies and minds. Danielle was getting more and more requests for a similar natural way for the face to look and feel healthier too. Danielle was born and brought up in Plymouth and moved to Bath to study Education and English Literature at Bath Spa University and achieved a first class honours. There’s no shortage of different yoga styles to choose from, but here’s an emerging type you may have never heard of: face yoga. Also, breathing properly helps to oxygenate the skin, bringing a supply of fresh nutrient rich blood that feeds the skin from the inside out, giving you a healthy glow and a clear complexion. Watching YouTube videos online and reading books/articles are easy and low-cost ways to learn how to perform facial exercises, especially when you compare the cost to botox, professional massages and facials, and inexpensive anti-aging creams.
