This needs to be brushed into the grass, the sand helps to hold the grass in position as well as maintaining the pile upright. If this option is used simply apply the sand evenly over the grass and working against the pile brush in. When joining, please ensure that the pile direction runs the same way, otherwise it will look as though two different grasses have been laid.
Where you have a requirement to join two pieces of grass, the join should be made before fixing to the frame pinning to the ground. You need to ensure that the pile on both pieces runs in the same direction, if not the end result will look like two completely different pieces of grass. If your artificial grass is being laid on a harder surface, like concrete or tarmac, clear away any rubbish first so the area is flat before you start. Then, stretch the lawn out and roller it to get rid of any ripples.If you like your lawn to look freshly cut, anything between 25-30mm is a great choice. For a natural-looking lawn, we suggest you choose a height between 30-38mm. Anything longer than this can affect the fibers as it tends to lie underweight rather than standing upright. The longer blade the heavier the blade will be and the more likely weight will bring it down leading to flat-look, rather than lush-look grass.
