Bottled at 48% abv and matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon, ex- Sherry, and quarter casks, this whisky is sourced from casks of different ag. The smoke from this peat fire is found only on Islay and it is this fire that gives Laphroaig its particularly rich smokey flavour.
