About this deal

I’ve seen lovely charcuterie boards on round lazy suzan type boards, large rounds with handles. Get creative. My favorite places to shop for boards are TJ Maxx Home Goods and antique/second hand shops. OR….Home depot will literally cut you a piece any size you’d like. You can even make your own. Fresh Rosemary and thyme looks great as some added greenery to your board. It smells good too. You’ll see I added some Rosemary springs around my board.

small dry pasta– Elbow pasta is most common for classic mac and cheese, but you can use any small pasta of your choice. Another benefit is that the walls of the divided plates are typically very high. This means that any of the compartments could also be used for purees, in addition to finger foods. The walls also help to make it easier for your baby to scoop the purees up and out of the plate. You’ll also probably be thankful for higher walls, and divided sections, when you serve dry food along with a more liquid-y food, because the wet food won’t spread everywhere and make a big mess right from the beginning. This gives your baby some time to do that all on their own 😉Non-toxic material – no BPA, but I actually say to avoid plastics in general, if you can (AAP recommends avoiding use of plastics for anything that touches baby’s mouth/food).

Prepare Dry Coating. Place Parmesan, Ranch Dressing Seasoning Mix and 1 tablespoon of dried parsley leaves onto a large plate or shallow dish. Use a fork to mix ingredients well. If you are wondering how to pronounce charcuterie, you are not alone on this, lots of people want to know how to properly “say” charcuterie? It’spronounced “shahr-kyu-tuh-ree.” Sustainable – meaning they’re good for the environment (or at least better than other options). Usually this means they’re silicone, stainless steel, or bamboo. But my biggest recommendation is to grab a bowl or plate that has suction! I love this option, and basically find it a necessity, especially for babies. The suction helps prevent the bowl/plate from moving around as your baby tries to eat, making things easier for them. But also, let’s face it, babies are going to be super messy, and will probably throw items off their highchair tray more than once (as I mentioned earlier too!). So, choose a plate with amazing suction to help minimize unnecessary mess by discouraging plate throwing. Durable – resist wear and tear, the longer they last the better (and they need to hold up to babies/toddlers!). Like I said above, this is your board so choose your favorite varieties of cheese. I’d suggest have at least 3 different cheeses in different shapes and sizes. See my photo above for reference. Keep in mind my board was very large, but I chose 4 cheeses- brie, smoked gouda, blue cheese, Pecorino Romano and a bloc of cream cheese that I added spicy jelly on top. Fresh Herbs Your child might not like every food you give him or her on the first try. Give your child a chance to try foods again and again, even if he or she does not like them at first. Children may need to try some foods many times before they like them. Here are some tips that might make trying foods again and again easier.
