Having matured for no less than eight years, BACARDÍ RESERVA OCHO unveils enchanting notes of stone fruits and spices. BACARDÍ Reserva Ocho is a complex golden rum with a deep, layered and mellow flavour of dried fruits, spices and oaky vanilla. It also provides a wonderful depth of flavour to any dark rum cocktail, such as a Rum Old Fashioned. The tube and bottle have that sort of retro look that Bacardi go for and is consistent with the usual Bacardi branding. This complexity of flavours is also what makes BACARDÍ Reserva 8 particularly suited to cocktails that require depth and balance such as an Old Fashioned, Rum Negroni, or Hotel Nacional.

Bacardí® 8 Year Old Premium Golden Rum has been specially crafted using selected barrel-aged rums ranging from eight to nine years old. Both the 8 Year Old and Ocho are made using molasses, distilled using column stills and aged for at least an year before being charcoal filtered and re-casked for 8 years minimum in, most likely, ex-Bourbon casks. It is not quite as “Latin” in terms of oakiness and in particularly smokiness as the Bacardi Reserva.
