About this deal

Park Cameras is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, register number 1449928 and act as a credit broker and not a lender. You can see from this animation that the camera trap also consistently triggered on every 10ft line we walked.

This lets you control the shutter speed for night vision shots – setting the shutter speed to ‘Low’ means more the picture will be more exposed but you may get more subject blur, and vice versa for the ‘High’ setting. The PIR sensor has a coverage area 3 times larger than Bushnell have previously offered and the 32 night vision LEDs are invisible to humans and animals so any wildlife won’t be disturbed. It was capturing 3 per trigger when the Image Size was set to HD but since changing it to High it initially captured only 1 per trigger, then (after using Default Set then resetting) only 2 per trigger. second exposure time seems somewhat slow - no wonder animals tend to show as rather blurred, even in good lighting conditions! Field-proven design with a removable "ARD" anti-reflection LED cover, strengthened cable lock channel and an improved latch for maximum ruggedness. My suggestion with these types of cameras would be to use them on the native setting (3 MP here) or one res up from that to save having big file sizes for no gain in quality or possibly getting a worse image . If you use your camera trap with a tripod or prefer attaching to fence posts, this won’t be a problem however. The camera can be configured to take photos or videos from 1 to 60 seconds at night and up to 2 minutes during the day.

I'd expect at least one of these figures to vary according to the prevailing lighting conditions at the time of exposure. The instruction manual is second to none, and makes it very easy to learn how to get the most out of the Bushnell Trophy Cam HD. We can’t vouch for the 119676’s battery life just yet however having only had it a few weeks, but so far it looks like it will carry on the good battery life tradition of its predecessors. Bushnell Trophy Cams come in a variety of colours, including camo trail cameras that will blend perfectly into their surroundings and feature resolutions of up to 1080p for the most stunning wildlife photos and videos. All content, design, and layout are Copyright © 1998–2024 Digital Photography Review All Rights Reserved. With just pushing a button the user can see what is going on the scene where their Trail Scout camera is attached. I don’t know about you, though, but I tend to check my cameras every few days just to see what type of critters I can see feeding from my plots. Trigger speed is also heavily linked with how well the camera trap can detect wildlife – something we’ll discuss more below.

For UK wildlife use, we prefer to use trail cameras which already have a degree of built in camouflage.WARNING: This product can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. They generally have a 2 year warrenty and we have exchanged cameras under this on a couple of occasions (just by dealing direct with Bushnell in America - but I guess try through your retailer first). It features a straight forward set-up, easy to navigate menu and the same quality you've come to expect from a Bushnell Camera. So , with trail cameras at least, regardless if it is advertised at 3,6,8 or 24 MP, if the sensor has a native 3MP resolution, the results will be very similar .
