I don’t want to mention too many details of the story, but I have to say that what brought it all together for me, what catapulted this book into the stratosphere for me was the realness and beauty of all of the characters. The thing is after Slammed and POR they are together, this is not a spoiler, this is something you know when you start this book. In Hopeless, Sky left no secret unearthed, no feeling unshared and no memory forgotten, but Holder's past remains a mystery. I have no doubt that would've been something I picked up, even if I didn't care so much for the first two books in this series. I have the overwhelming urge to pull her up out of her chair and kiss her in front of everyone, then scream my resignation at the top of my lungs.

This Girl was the perfect final chapter to a magnificent series that will forever reside on my all time favorites shelf.It was riveting, captivating, and I was so wrapped up in the story that I didn’t even notice that I literally read until the sun came up. Layken and Will’s love has managed to withstand the toughest of circumstances, and the young lovers, now married, are beginning to feel safe and secure in their union. Every time I read Colleen Hoover's books, I am left speechless, emotionally attached, and not wanting to let go. Even as I look at these beautiful quotes from this book, it brings out emotions which no book has ever brought out for me.

Though Sky is determined to stay far away from him, his unwavering pursuit and enigmatic smile break down her defences and the intensity of the bond between them grows. I understand I can change my preference through my account settings or unsubscribe directly from any marketing communications at any time. If this will make fans of Slammed as a whole (like me) happy as an addition to an already perfect duet of books, is a good point of discussion, I think.

I’ve loved you since the second I laid eyes on you and I haven’t stopped loving you for a second since. You get Slammed from Will's point of view, but you also get the continuation of Will and Layken's story after Point of Retreat. Every story has two sides and in this final part of the series, we finally hear Will's side of the story.

It was what Julia and Eddie and Kel and Caulder made of them when they interacted with these characters.

They were both left to take care of younger siblings, and become parents themselves long before they should have. It wasn't always an easy story to read, we don't only get to re-live the beautiful, joyous moments, but also the sad, heartbreaking ones. There's very little, if anything truly *new* about this book, and the material that is considered new? Will, Lake, and the rest of the of the gang in the Slammed Series have made permanent residency in my heart.

I hate saying it, or saying something about anyone else's writing which various people can find value even with its qualms, but I think someone has to. I mean, I like reading about perfect characters but sometimes authors don’t keep them real and that’s what I felt while reading this.
