About this deal

One big thing to note here – the first is that the Warboss on Bike is gone, but can potentially be replaced with another Wartrike, as here almost everything can benefit from their version of Advance and Charge. You lose a nasty beater, but it isn’t the end of the world. Kunnin’ But Brutal- Fight First. Whilst generally you should try and get the charge of course, it’s still a solid trait for a melee Character, helping dictate flow of combat should they get caught flatfooted, hit by any Strike Last effects, or if they Heroically Intervene. The core of the new vehicle options come from Kustom Jobs. There are two ways to get hold of these – either by including a Mekboy Workshop in your army, or using a Stratagem. The Mekboy Workshop gives you a piece of terrain to deploy, which can be a useful place to hide a mob of objective-camping grots. However, if you want multiple Kustom Jobs, or you don’t have space in your army for a fortification, you’ll want to make sure you have some Command Points set aside for the Stratagem.

OK, one from us now. Disclaimer – if you want to win, maybe go look at the two lists above, or look up Seth’s mixed Buggy/Trukk Boyz list. Got that? OK. Rob’s Note: Or, if you aren’t a coward, run the Squiggoths.

Battlewagon

All CHARACTERS can have these ones. BEAST SNAGGAS and SPEED FREEKS have their own mini tables, but can still take these normal ones if they wish. We’ve kind of already covered what your goal is here – overwhelm your opponent in a green tide with sufficient force that they can’t recover. The Meganobz are an interesting call – potentially they’re here as something that can secure an objective once it’s taken and not be trivially shot off by incoming reserves, with the flexibility to be thrown at something spicy with Da Jump if needed. However, the Boyz here hit so hard thanks to the various buff auras that you often won’t need that. There is just no getting around it. No one wants to invest so many points in something that can die in 1 hit from anything ap 2 or 1. You can easily add a KFF to an army with a gorkanaut anyway. Have a big mek following behind him - the model is so fat its pretty easy to stay out of sight. This way the KFF protects more than just the gorkanaut, since im pretty sure the naut wont ever be alone unless everything else died. The Morkanaut boasts an impressive array of secondary armaments, making it a versatile and deadly adversary. Twin-linked big shootas rain a hail of bullets upon unsuspecting foes, while rokkit launchas add a touch of explosive chaos to the mix. For close encounters, the Kustom Mega-Blasta delivers a blistering blast, ensuring no enemy can escape unscathed.

Gun Crazy Show Offs- A unit of FLASH GITZ shoots again at the end of the Shooting Phase, but has to target the nearest unit. Restrictive in use and costly at 2CP, however a unit of Flash Gitz can hit pretty hard, so if you get them into position against a favourable target they can wreak some fairly significant damage.Gretchin are the big losers. The changes to army building in 9th meant there was no longer a need to run so many, but we still would like them for screening and character protection. 5 points a model is nearly ridiculous. I'd heavily consider 10 boyz instead, since they can at least hit something in a meaningful way.
