About this deal

Great tip about raking the ash before bed to try and cool it off - we may have to purchase a non-flamable bucket for our embers so we can scoop them out and then have peat multiple days in a row - so looking forward to that scent! Because of the challenging ecological conditions of peat wetlands, they are home to many rare and specialised organisms that are found nowhere else. Its wonderful aroma is instantly recognizable, and its long burning properties and steady heat mean that it is still highly in demand as a fuel product. Briquettes produce a lot of fine, white ash which tends to act like an insulating blanket on the embers and can easily still be hot the next afternoon. Not sure about Cornwall ( a bit outside the ken of our local TV ) but Dorset, Devon and South Somerset got a bit of a battering.

Just don't have a clue where to find some in Dublin (we won't have a car and found an hostel close to Temple Bar). Unlike any other solid fuel, our briquettes release almost no pollution and produce long-lasting heat for your home. The briquettes are highly compressed and rock hard not soft, even if you soak them they dont go back to being like normal peat. They are made from peat which is milled, dried and then pressed under high pressure to make a solid rectangular briquette.Peat as a fuel has been around for centuries, and now, with advances in knowledge and technology we are harvesting peat from peat bogs and turning them into areas of outstanding natural beauty. This vehicle is usually able to travel wherever your rubbish collectors do when they make their rounds. Other fuels cost less, but given the new restrictions just announced by the UK government on coal and non- kilndried wood, this is by far the best alternative. Made from 100% natural products, they are just as suitable for open fires as for stoves, Chimineas, Burners, Outdoor Fire Pits and BBQ's etc and are easy to light. From there the only additional step in the process is to compress them into briquette shapes usable for your home stove or fire.

Should I ask Air Lingus if I'm authorised to take some with me in the plane, or are you sure it's not allowed ?Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. They didn't live up the advertisement, found them difficult to light and they didn't give out the heat output I was expecting. With their long, slow burn and lovely aroma, they’ll give you all the warmth you need in your hearth—no matter what type of fireplace or stove you have. Handle them gently, as Tapl says, there is a lot of fine ash which floats around - and you will only take them outside in an uncovered container once!
