I’d recommend using a separate Camera such as the 122 or 222 on the rear windscreen. You will need a separate power supply and SD card as it will not connect to your 312G, but can be used as a Camera facing rearwards. The prices are comparable with the Series 2 Rear Cams, and if you’d like to keep using your 312G, is the most viable option.

Remove the SD card and press the reset button on the underside of the Dash Cam. Then turn the Dash Cam on. Please turn Parking Mode off and turn Screen Saver off as these could interfere with the test results.On the dash cam's screen you'll see a menu of 3 options. The 422GW has a camera resolution of 1440p, more commonly known as 2k. Whilst the camera does also offer 60fps, you will need to keep the resolution at 1080p to utilise this. This features the best camera resolution at 4k, the highest frame rate at 120fps and has a number of unique features such as What3Words technology and image stabilisation. Next in the series 2 range is the 422GW. This dashcam doesn’t have a huge number of upgrades compared to the 322GW, however the one that does stand out is the camera quality. The 222 is slightly larger than the 122 which allows it to have a larger screen and a wider camera angle at 140° instead of 120°. Personally I like the 202lite the best as it can last for around 50 minutes on battery power when new and uncooked, so long as you are aware of the issues at least you know what to look out for, if it acts funny shutting down with funny screens battery is getting duff usually first sign. One thing that is better about the nextbase I found was they worked with ANY sd card, my F770 won't and thinkware don't make larger than 64GB!!
