There is a good range of difficulty between setting 1 and setting 10 and this is easily adjusted by twisting the dial on the centre console. Thanks to the convenient placement it is even possible to change this without demounting from the machine. The belt driven system is also incredibly quiet, even when used at high intensity. If you’re planning on doing some rowing whilst watching the television, you’ll definitely like how quiet this is. Either way, the Sunny Health & Fitness rower is a good choice — a no-fuss model at a budget price.After extensive research, I chose the JLL R200, buying it in November 2019. What Makes the JLL R200 the Best Cheap Rowing Machine? The specification shows that the maximum user weight supported is 100kg, which translates to 15st 10lbs. It’s not the highest & could’ve benefitted from being tested upto 130kg. If you’re under 100kg though, this isn’t a problem for you! The JLL R200 combined with belt-driven wheel and magnetic resistance so you can get a smooth and quiet motion without disturbing anybody. It’s easy to move the rower around the house. Just put it in it’s folded configuration, tilt the rower onto it castors and push it to its desired location. The motion of the rail is smooth and general operation is one of the quietest we have seen. Compared to an air based resistance rowing machine you will find this is much quieter but the compromise is less room for high intensity challenge as air rowers are virtually limitless.
