Well, first of all, insist that they are totally honest about the lie. Perhaps you only know a part of it, but there is more that they aren’t telling you. If your friend tells you they’re unwell on the day you were meant to meet up, and you later see them tagged in a photo doing something else with other people, is it really that big a deal? There are so many voices out there that preach that you must stand up for yourself! That people treat you the way you allow them to treat you! But don’t just say, “Is there anything else you’d like to tell me?” This will likely be met with silence. The downside to this book was that there were many instances where this reader would just roll her eyes. There was a lot going on and at times it seemed as if the author threw caution to the wind and overloaded the novel with too many occurrences that stretched one's imagination. There is a big twist in the structure of the book that will remind you plot twist lovers of The Wife Between Us. It's exciting and crazy, but it’s this particular twist that was too unbelievable for me to handle. I actually think the story would have been better without it.
