The storyli
Twisty, ingeniously plotted and brilliant. Loved it, and I loved DC Ffion Morgan. I already can't wait for the next one . . . -- JILL MANSELL There’s been snow on the peaks since before Christmas, and even with the protection from the mountains, the temperature in the town hasn’t climbed above freezing. The lake itself is bitter. Colder than last year! People gasp, at once gleeful and incredulous. We must be mad! I loved Ffion so much. She definitely stole my heart. She's such a complex, yet likable character. I am really looking forward to more books in this series.
Need Help?
The Last Party grabbed me from the beginning (especially as I wasn't expecting that humorous beginning). I loved that the two investigators are not an immediate hit working together. If she isn’t working on the case, she’ll have no way of knowing what’s been uncovered. How close they are to the truth. She walks away from Leo. This is how you start a series! I found this book to be gripping and I found myself making time to read this entire book in one day. Eventually, we will discover the truth. And, these two cops were going to be a part of working to find this truth. A natural inclination is to assume that everyone knows each other, and the contents of their closets, in a small-town. Villagers included in this presumption. But when one of their own has obviously been murdered, secrets do spill.
Sensationally smart and gorgeously gossipy while being an absolute humdinger of a thrilling read, and what's more, it's the start of a new series * LOVEREADING * Harry Bosch and the Lincoln Lawyer team up to exonerate a woman who’s already served five years for killing her ex-husband.The characters are superb, the plot is well-written and completely absorbing . . . I loved The Last Party and can only hope this is the start of DC Ffion Morgan's adventures -- DAMP PEBBLES Ffion yawns. “Exactly. He targets you for no apparent reason, and the only difference between you and the rest of the office is…” She looks around the room, where every officer has one thing in common. They’re white.
