About this deal

Again, as mentioned above, heated rollers are totally different in application and use but create a similar effect to curling wands. Wands are wand shape but don’t have a clamp attached. Hair is wound round the heated barrel and held in place by hand (usually with a heat-protective glove). Then hair is released after a few seconds. Heated rollers apply heat differently, through thermo-material coated rollers. Heat lasts approximately 15 minutes, during which time you leave the rollers in (you can remove before the 15 minutes is up!). Heated Rollers Vs Velcro Rollers It’s recommended that heated rollers stay in your hair for approximately 10 minutes and you’ll find they retain their heat for around 15 minutes. If your hair can take the heat, leave them in until they’ve cooled right down to really set the style. However, if your hair is prone to damage, it’s best to remove them after a maximum of ten minutes to minimize stress to your hair. For best results, use the large 32mm rollers on the top sections of the hair to add volume, and the smaller 25mm rollers for the hair underneath to create a tight curl that stays in place for longer. After 15 minutes you’ll be left with a mix of loose and tight curls that brush out to gently tousled waves.

The rollers here are similar with one very big exception. There is no heat use in Velcro rollers unless you sit under a floor-standing hair dryer. Velcro rollers don’t produce as defined curls as heated rollers because they have no thermo material and they don’t use heat. They do curl, but some people might find they don’t work very well (this depends on hair type). Able to make use of indicator: The ‘Able to make use of’ indicator is located at the front of the unit which starts off red, but as the unit heats the pods, the indicator will subtly turn from red to clear. Again, this set of rollers is suitable for all hair types because there are different sizes in the box so you can create whatever look you want. Finally, for those of you concerned about the environment, these rollers use seven times less power than other rollers so they’re exceptionally energy efficient. Depending on where you'd like the curl to start, wind the pod up to that height, going right to the root will create more volume at the roots, but stopping mid-length will give hair a more natural style. The lightweight design of the pods ensure there’s no tugging on the hair, and the easy-to-use pods that snap together ensure there’s no kinks in the hair or clips digging in our head.Chances are you probably know all there is to know about Boots.com, but if you don’t then here’s a little more detail about them. Wrap small sections of hair – no bigger than three inches – around the roller and secure it into place with a clip. Remember that the hair will take on the shape into which you set it, so to ensure the roots are lifted, wind the rollers away from the scalp, lifting the hair as you go.

Your box will take approximately 4 minutes to heat up and the colour indicator will change to ready to use.The rollers are easy to use, held in place with large butterfly clips, which are heated along with the rollers to provide the best hold possible. Heating up in just 90 seconds and taking around five minutes to set, they’re also a fast and efficient choice for when you’re limited on time. Pros If you’re watching your budget, then these rollers are a great option and feature ceramic technology so they’re excellent at conducting heat. The set comprises of 20 thermo-ceramic rollers that create an amazingly smooth finish and because they cool down slowly, they really do deliver a long-lasting defined curl.
