you're telling me this side character who is kinda mysterious but is very much an asshole but obviously loves deeply and has depth is just that- a side character? Their too and fro, their barbed words, their wayward touches, to their stolen glances, these two were stubborn to a fault, their angsty unwanted attraction had me glued to my ipad throughout, I loved this world this author pulled me into, and I'm left hoping that we get to see more.Especially when Olivia's brothers were so unkind to her, are awfully misogynistic and slut-shame women all the time. Liv Jaeger crosses the tracks every day for one reason: to graduate from high school and get into the Ivy League. I stood in front of the mirror this morning, a mouthful of toothpaste and my hair tangled by your fingers.

I mention the characters being ‘imperfect’ not to drag them but to state that I found them all the more interesting and dynamic because of their imperfections.

even if Clay’s situation was what Trace had implied, i still feel like it wasn’t his place to say that. The societal hypocrisy, high school toxic atmosphere filled with bigotry, peer pressure and venomous hate. I was a little sad when I read that they got a divorce, but even happier to see that they tried dating e/o again after four year!

The characters' dialogue was always so true to their personalities, and that's something I really admire in sex scenes.Being the absolute bitch that Clay was most of the time, it took a little while to get used to her, but she really does grow on you. Unfortunately, Liv can't retaliate since the rich kids at their school don't experience any kind of repercussions. if anyone has any ff enemies to lovers recs with the same intensity (or close to) as Clay and Liv, pls lmk! I smile, no more tears stinging as I slip my hands under her shirt—my T-shirt—and caress the fucking amazing skin on her smooth stomach.
