About this deal

Two and a half miles beneath the icy North Atlantic the mighty Titanic holds the key to the safety of the free world. Nathaniel Philbrick, writing in the introduction to the fiftieth anniversary edition of A Night to Remember, notes that at the time of publication it was the first significant book about Titanic for nearly forty years. I’ve seen this labelled as YA, adult and child, but anyone who enjoys poetry can get something out of this collection. The book depicts events through the eyes of multiple individuals, violating simple chronology to present an overlapping series of narratives.

Because that summer I won a raffle at my local cinema and got to take home my very own Titanic model building kit, which I dutifully did. This is her extraordinary tale of survival, as well as her childhood and how she wound up a stewardess on the Titanic.

But Eva’s story is even more unique because although it was written when she was much older, it is told through the eyes of a child, making it simultaneously more terrifying and more hopeful. There's no better time to explore the iconic Titanic Belfast building and surrounding Maritime Mile. Who will enjoy this book: This is a fantastic introduction to the Titanic for kids, but it’s really a book the whole family can get something out of. The novel can be found sitting on Carlson's armchair in the 1996 video game Titanic: Adventure Out of Time.

The sisters come from a mother who is in the spiritualist community and they have a feeling the ship will sink, but they hop aboard anyways with a very sweet boy named Thad. Who will enjoy this book: The Dressmaker is a proper romance, through and through, so fans of drama and romantic tension will have much to enjoy. Who will enjoy this book: Lovers of horror, the supernatural and anyone looking for an atmospheric spooky read! What’s it about: A young woman hoping to escape the wealthy family she serves after the Titanic arrives in America is captivated by a handsome first-class passenger with a dark and gruesome past – and he’s being stalked by werewolves! It’s not just about escaping into a fantasy world, but about finding human experience in otherworldly situations and characters. Like the Titanic, the fictional ship sank after wrecking on an iceberg in April in the North Atlantic Ocean, and there were not enough lifeboats for all the passengers.
