About this deal

In this episode, Kelly Reynolds, author of Meet Me in Los Feliz, is here to chat about spicy/high-heat holiday/Christmas romance recommendations. Their relationship may have taken off smoothly, but with all this turbulence, will they ever make it to baggage claim?

I related to this aspect of the book because I've seen all this comparing and having no self-esteem shit in real life! This is a kind of book where you feel all those butterflies dancing in your stomach because of the adorable moments between Abigail and Damien. I loved Damien and Abigail's relationship and how Damien always made her feel loved and comfortable.Truman Belvedere’s heart is crushed when he learns that his boyfriend has a secret life, including a husband and daughter. Overall, this is a pretty good Christmas read and one that will make you swoon with the sweetness and hot with the spice. but the way people were talking about this made me think it was going to be life changing, the best holiday romance of all time.

Finn Beckett has always had good luck, as demonstrated by the gorgeous blonde he’s seated next to on a flight to Aspen. Rachel and Jacob haven’t seen each other since they were kids, but their grudge still glows brighter than a menorah. For the whole book we're told that Richard telling Abbie how to dress is Bad™, but when Damien does it it's GOOD, because he knows what's good for her.

The way Abbie realized each and every messed up thing her ex made her do, now that she's not wearing rose-tinted glasses! she just wanted this whole thing to go down to get closure for her fuxked up past which made me feel mixed things. When going out with him, Abbie would sometimes revert back to her old ways when her past relationship trauma would speak up. The one-night stand and enjoying the date part are real, but having full-on obsession and attachment is kind of a stretch.

It was a very realistic, NON-REALISTIC book I've read lol 🤡 Some aspects of this book were very relatable, and this book was a perfect balance between cheesy romance and the sad, brutal truth of life!

Personally, I felt bad and regretted that I couldn't do anything for her, and even though you warn them, you just have to stay quiet because they are the ones in love, and they won't see what you're trying to tell them unless they realize it themselves.
