Controller/ gamepad wise whether wireless or USB wired the gamepads that are usually shipped with the Super Console X boxes do the job but are very cheap and nasty.

It’s cheap, thin plastic, with awful loose buttons, and it requires x2 AAA batteries that do not come included. We did notice the Super Console X has a tendancy to get warm, but not warm enough to cause any worry. The SC X3 Max+ uses the same hardware as the Retrostation 11k and Retrostation 14k however it has more RAM and ROM giving it more resources when needed.Please check the legality of ROM downloading in your area and always follow government guidelines on internet safety and copyright laws. Under the ROMs folder, you’ll find sub-folders for different systems such as N64, Atari 2600, and GB (GameBoy). But, thats exactly why it impressed us, these specs on paper are nothing shy of normal, but its performance was not… so normal.

We did however need to map some keys to play our best Nintendo DS games, but that was easy and literally took 30 seconds to do so.

EmuELEC is stable and widely used but the quality of game play will depend on the hardware performance of the device you're using it on. We have not had any experience of it overheating, so although the case looks like it doesn’t help with airflow, we can assure you it hasn’t caused us any issues as of yet. While the Console X Stick and X Pro deliver somewhat similar performance on paper, the X Pro does benefit from more USB ports and better cooling.
