About this deal

These pastes can also be used as an edible food paint by adding a little water or rejuvenator spirit. Sugarflair Maximum Concentrated Food Colouring Paste colours are super concentrated so you need less of the colour to achieve the desired shade saving you money and ensuring no change of consistency of the medium. These versatile pastes are more concentrated than gels and can be used in a variety of ways including to colour fondant, flower paste, buttercream, sugar paste or cake mixes (any many other icings). Although I provide cup measurements, I highly recommend weighing your ingredients out using digital kitchen scales*. But if you want something stronger, more vibrant, then add the paste little by little to achieve the shade you desire.

Or you could dip half of the cookie in white chocolate, or add a circle of white chocolate on top of the cookie and some sprinkles too! Make sure all your ingredients (particularly the eggs, butter and buttermilk) are at room temperature before you start baking. For the brightest red shade that stays vibrant and strong after baking, use a good quality professional food colouring. You will need to use a professional grade food colouring to get the same shade of red that you can see in my photos. For a dairy free version, use a dairy free baking spread and dairy free buttermilk for the cake, and dairy free spread and dairy free milk for the buttercream. Ideal for giving bright, bold, colours to birthday, Christmas, wedding, or celebration cakes or for adding to decorations and icings on cupcakes, muffins, cookies, and doughnuts. Or if it's not the time of year to scare your guests then omit the ganache and serve a pretty red velvet cake instead! Perfect to colour fondant, flower paste, buttercream, cake mixes (any many other icings) without changing the consistency of the medium used.

Remove the cling film when you take it out to defrost it, if you don’t it could damage the decoration as it defrosts and softens.I understand you will use my personal data to improve services and send me marketing communications You must consent to the storage and use of your personal data as laid out in our privacy notice. You will also need to use dairy free cream cheese for the filling, and dairy free white chocolate for decoration. Make sure to leave space between the balls of cookie dough on the baking trays as they will spread when baking, about 2" should ensure they don't stick together. For all the tips and tricks on how to make a drip cake, including a how to video, check out my Ultimate Drip Cake How To Guide! It's really important to have a good base for the drip, so the cake needs a 'crumb coat' then a top layer of buttercream.

Royal blue, pearly ivory, spice red, honey gold, kiwi green, canary yellow, grape thistle purple, duck egg blue, apricot orange, flamingo pink. To make the buttercream mix the butter on it's own for a few minutes, then add the icing sugar, vanilla extract and milk, and mix until smooth. The general advice is to add 2 tsp baking powder per 200g flour, so for this recipe you'd need to add 5 teaspoons baking powder. I filled the middle of the cake with jam for an extra 'bloody' effect, but you could fill with vanilla buttercream or cream cheese frosting instead if you prefer. After the 30 minutes is up and your oven is pre-heated, place the frozen dough balls onto lined baking trays, leaving space (at least 2") between them to spread.Layer up the cakes, first piping a ring of buttercream around the edge, and then filling the middle with jam.
