About this deal

Don’t forget that at the end of the combat phase it can make a normal move even if still within 3″ of the enemy. Reviews you can trust: To ensure you're getting a fair, accurate, and informed review, our experienced team spends a significant amount of time on everything we review. With room even within these legions to play within the margins, choosing whether to promote flexibility with devotion to multiple gods, or going all-in for some powerful payoffs. This is the back piece we were talking about; the slots are where the wings, backpack, or trophy rack mount, but it might be hard to magnetize them.

Halberds give us a 2″ reach, compensating for the 32mm girth, with the trade off of a 4+ rather than 3+ to wound and may be a nice option for a large block of warriors, allowing more to attack. I still prefer the Knights with Nurgle personally, as it allows then to go and quickly tarpit something you don’t like. If you’re playing smartly, you should rarely be exposing your critical Wizards to situations where they’re taking significant amounts of damage anyway.A hobbyist, player, and collector of miniatures and games, Adam's current obsession are his Death Armies for Age of Sigmar, his Blood Angels and Tyranids for 40k, and his ever growing Arkham Horror: The Card Game Collection.

The Slaves to Darkness march through the Mortal Realms in the names of Archaon Everchosen, Be'lakor the Dark Master, and the Gods of Chaos themselves, ever pushing back against Sigmar’s dreams of peace and prosperity. The Daemon Prince is an absolute beast on the battlefield, with options to outfit him with huge wings that give him a fly speed of 12", a trophy rack completely ignoring battleshock tests for friendly units within 9" of him, and a choice of three weapons: a Daemonic Axe, a Hellforged Sword, or Malefic Talons.

A solid ability that will likely be most useful for Daemon Princes, as I’m not entirely sold on the Monsters in this tome being fantastic build arounds. Ultimately what’s problematic about this legion doesn’t really have anything to do with them so much as it does the meta at large. When you absolutely need to reduce your whimpering foes to ashes, these Heralds of Ruination can prove their mettle by fighting twice in the same phase. We all know dual wield should be the correct option, with a dove fly-by, but sadly only giving reroll hits and losing the mortal wound repelling ability of the shield (5+ MW ignore) simply isn’t worth it.

This is partially off-set by Marauders which are cheap chaff to throw bodies at the enemy but you’ll need to not be wasteful with your more heavily armored units.

The Chaos Knights are hell on horseback, and charge deep into enemy territory to wreak havoc on their foes. This also works both ways, as units with the Mark of Chaos ability can be taken freely in the mono-god Battletomes. The daemon unit in question depends on your hero’s Mark of Chaos (so a Khorne hero would get 10 bloodletters) which opens up some questions about what happens when an unmarked hero gets this reward that we assume will get cleared up in the FAQ. Slaves to Darkness heroes project out an aura (12” usually) from their base that gives benefits to units with the same mark as themselves wholly within said aura. Realmwarper’s Twist-rune: Friendly Despoilers units wholly within 12″ of the bearer are unaffected by the Pitch-black and Nightmare Chasm scenery rules.
