About this deal

Smelling it in the sample vial I got I knew it was going to be a beast of a fragrance, but luckily I actually like it a lot more than I expected. I smelled an older version (from probably early 2000s) and I figured it would be reformulated by now so I went and bought one because I just like the bottle.

i do notice with stronger floral scents people think it gives an older vibe, that's not the case for me. But the body cream jumped right to the creamy lactonic heart, amplified by the creaminess of the cream, and I was hooked. Tuberose is the first thing that slaps you in the face, then orange blossom, violet, and plum begin to kick in. My six year daughter sprayed one squirt on her shirt this afternoon and just through casual contact both my husband and I are now wearing Red Door. I've missed the opportunity to have discovered this product because I had an aversion to their red door theme. The honey is so overpowering that it is on the tip of being almost too much, but the other notes find a way to keep it in check.

The carnation plays second fiddle to the rose to me, but it does seem to be lending a strange bitterness to this perfume. I gave my vintage bottle to mother (a Coco EDP and Opium wearer) and she just loves it and it doesn't seem to be as strong on her as it is me.

For those who are familiar with the original formula, this new edition is a far ghost of what this powerhouse scent used to be. Note: The pros and cons listed on this page have been generated using the artificial intelligence system, which analyzes product reviews submitted by our members. It's the thick, heavy scent that hits you in the face as you open the door (setting a hundred tiny bells tinkling).

Here at Fragrance Direct we are big fans of Elizabeth Ardens fragrances and cosmetics, and this Elizabeth Arden Red Door Eau de Toilette Spray is particularly popular for its fresh, feminine aroma that makes it ideal for evening wear and those special occasions. To me, it smells unfashionable however there is just something iconic about RD, it does have a bygone allure.Even though I get migraines from many perfumes, I don't find this headache-inducing or nauseating at all! Or - have you already made your mind up considering this perfume's long standing marketing and image product branding?
