Pentalobe screwdriver is ideal for removing 5-point star screws on the mid 2009 MacBook Pro 15" battery. In fact, there isn’t a single reputable supplier that sells exactly the same screwdrivers Apple’s technicians use—which is Apple’s point. Of course, we didn’t have the right screwdriver, but with some finagling, we managed to extract the little screws. This was the only internal usage of pentalobe screws; all following MacBook Pros use the "Tri-Wing" security bit to attach the battery to the internal frame, or else have glued-in batteries.
