While it’s great that their build-up was slow, that slowness felt like it was still rooted in the friend zone, and therefore the attraction the two were developing towards each other felt like it came out of nowhere. There are no absolutely perfect women or impossibly hunky men (at least not in an unrealistic sense), or corny love scenes. When Ali is not at work, she can be found running, eating cake pops, or watching sci-fi movies with her two feline overlords (and her slightly-less-feline husband).

Granted, if you don’t care much about Bee from the beginning, I think this will be a problem throughout the story because Bee’s voice felt sloppy, childish, and immature, as if Bee were talking to us. I believe replacing it with a scene about Levi opening up more or talking about himself more to understand better where he comes from could have provided a solid addition to get a different interpretation of him. Not only did Levi save her on her first day in the lab, but the equipment she needed to conduct her project is also missing.

Bee and Levi are captivating from page one, with an enemies-to-lovers romp that made me cackle like a madwoman more than once. There were a few twists at the end of this story that I did NOT see coming, which it made me love it even more. She repeated herself constantly as well, mentioning how much Levi hates her, which got on my nerves a whole lot. i mean, at heart Georgie is such a simpl so i just finished this book and i'm a bit shell shocked at how good it was so this review is not gonna be coherent at all, more like an unhinged list of all the things that made me fall so hard for this book. If I wanted to reread The Love Hypothesis, I’d simply do it and save myself the headache that comes along with this level of deja vu.But that's still her dream, and it's just beautiful to see her get over that through the help of Angus, and find a way to deal with harsh criticism and still put her art out there. But when she opens up to realize she is co-leading it, she didn’t expect to be co-leading it with Levi Ward, her grad school nemesis.
