About this deal

Typical applications include valves or bearings, seal barrier fluids, instruments, and oxygen systems. Often a switch will come prelubed from the factory but only with a small amount that is sloppily applied to the stem legs. DIN 3536: Lubricant for gas valves in indoor installations, gas distribution and gas transportation pipe lines. Please notice that the Capacitive PCB plate only compatible with the layout on the chosen plate, and the two plate options we will provide support split BS/2U BS and step Caps.

Krytox™ is the brand name for a variety of specialty synthetic lubricating materials available in numerous grades. Some mechanical keyboard builders, myself included, like to use Krytox GPL 205 Grade 0 to lube tactile switches too (despite it usually being recommended for linear switches and stabs).

Wired Capacitive PCB (including everything except keycaps in the capacitive version base kit; the PCB supports dsk, niz, topre standards, The default slider are MX compatible). The Krytox 205G0 grease lubricant is the perfect consistency and base oil viscosity for keyboard enthusiasts. In my opinion 3204, 204, and 104 are the Jack of all trades in that they can be used pretty well for both linear and tactile switches but a more closely matched number to your purposes may serve you a bit better. Krytox™ oils and greases stand up to harsh environments and high temperatures to lubricate weather stripping and automotive parts prone to noise and wear.

And so you know, over time and use, Krytox 205 grade 0, and lubricants in general, will distribute itself where it needs to go inside the switch. When lubing many switches at a time, you might want to gather all your springs and a pea size dollop of Krytox 205 grade 0 in a container or an inflated baggy. is recommended for linear switches but with a very light application, this lube may be used for any tactile switch.Personally I have found that a heavier lubricant is preferable to dampen any spring noises but just about anything can be used.

If you notice slight separation, you can use your lubing brush to mix the product back together (this only tends to happen when exposed to higher temperatures). I’ve never lubed switches before but figured I give the Mint YOK pandas on the way a try since I have to crack them open anyways. Products from the Krytox family are often graded for their viscosity by number with the lower the number the less viscous it is.

Krytox GPL 20X greases are thickened with microfine PTFE to produce the desired consistency without affecting the base oil viscosity. Cá nhân mình thì vẫn sẽ lựa chọn mua lube Miller-Stephenson từ Infinity Key, do mình biết rõ nguồn gốc. This is why you always want to shake well or mix your Krytox 205 grade 0 on a palette to give it its best integrity. Different Krytox™ oils have specific properties that make them well-suited for the demands of particular industries or environments.

Hmm I hadn’t thought of your point about the oil being better than the grease for high quality housings like the transparent ones. If you are going to build more than one keyboard or you have a hot-swap PCB and want to swap your switches regularly, get a lubing station. Use your stem holder--or your fingers--to hold the stem, then like you did for the bottom housing, apply an equal dollop of lube on each slider of the stem, then paint the front and back of the stems including the legs. While you don’t necessarily need to coat the whole spring to get rid of any pinging, it doesn’t hurt and isn’t overly wasteful either. The trick is to not apply 205G0 to the leaf inside the bottom housing and the stem front legs--that's reserved for Tribosys 3203 or Carbon GS1.
