The brewers in Jupille remained unsatisfied with local production of the beer, so on September 10, 2007, Inbev decided to keep the production in Hoegaarden. It was the influence of these beer behemoths that enabled the wheat beer to break into markets worldwide and today you’re pretty likely to see it available on tap in your local. The methods of brewing, distributing, and consuming Hoegaarden have all been influenced by industrialization but the taste and the Belgian pride stays the same.
