About this deal
Last weekend, George Hinkins, a brave Ghostbusters superfan from Harrogate, England, had his wish granted thanks to Make-A-Wish UK and the East Midlands Ghostbusters, strapping on a Proton Pack and becoming a Ghostbuster for the day. The primary blaster, complete with sound and light effects, comes with two attachments – the Blast ‘n Trap and the Plasma Stream. As the positron spirals outward, it needs to sync up with each "kick," or the cyclotron resonant frequency.
It also could be quite a wait: this crowdfunded toy / prop isn’t scheduled to ship till spring 2023. Look, we get it, not everyone is lucky enough to have an eccentric, genius grandfather who left us a fully functional albeit unlicensed nuclear accelerator. The Ghostbusters trailer contains an Easter egg hidden in the whiteboard filled with physics equations. In the case of the Ghostbusters' Proton Pack, that charged particle is a positron or positively charged electron.
